Usage and billing

Successful requests made with an account-backed API key are attributed to the organization that owns the key. Current pricing, free allowances, usage history, and spend are on the KittenML platform, in the Usage dashboard.

Older migrated ASR keys remain supported for compatibility, but they are not attached to a KittenML platform organization and therefore do not appear in an organization's Usage dashboard. Create an account-backed key for usage attribution and billing history.

When usage is recorded​

  • Usage is recorded only after inference completes successfully.
  • Upload STT uses the decoded input duration.
  • Realtime STT uses the final audio duration for the completed session.
  • TTS records the input characters and the duration of the generated audio.
  • Authentication failures and failed inference do not create successful usage records.

A request that needs credit is refused with 402 when the organization's balance and free allowance cannot cover it. See Errors.

Retain the response request_id when reconciling a specific request with your usage history or contacting support.
